In Echline, children and adults are working together to recognise and act upon the Rights of the Child. (UNCRC) This Convention is a comprehensive human rights treaty which enshrines specific children’s rights in International law. It contains 54 articles which our pupils learn more about at assemblies and in the classroom.

When children learn about and understand their own rights, we believe they will then appreciate and respect the rights of others.

Every class has been thinking about children’s right to an education and right to relax and play. They have been learning about what that means to them and what needs to happen in their classroom to allow good learning to take place. Each class has created a Class Charter explaining their classroom rules which will enable children to have their rights fully met.

Watch out for Class Charter photos appearing soon.
