Last Friday, the whole of Primary 6 performed their assembly about resilience to the school and their parents. Resilience is when you can come back from hard situations and you can use your coping strategies to help you. Some examples of coping strategies are talking to parents, having some space to yourself and listening to music. We were working in 7 different groups to show our work on resilience. The groups were: interviewing adults in school about difficult situations, creating acrostic poems, making animations, creating a rap, reading Dr Suess’s book “Oh The Places You’ll Go!”, making a My Five and creating a pie chart. We all enjoyed working together in different groups and with people who we might be in a class with next year.
